Curriculum
“Excellence in Education is when we do everything that we can to make sure they become everything that they can.”
-Carol Ann Tomlinson
The Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union provides a written and delivered curriculum that describes what students should know and be able to do that is aligned with the standards approved by the State Board of Education. Each of our schools enables students to engage annually in rigorous, relevant and comprehensive learning opportunities that allow them to demonstrate proficiency. Students are encouraged to take a self-directed role to demonstrate their learning. Ongoing assessments are used by students and teachers to identify the next steps for instruction and to evaluate learning targets.
The Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union is committed to supporting every learner as they progress toward becoming “everything that they can.”
