Tax Rate Information

Each year when Annual Reports are published, tax rates are estimated using the Homestead Property Yield recommended by the Vermont Tax Commissioner. Subsequently, the Vermont Legislature sets the Homestead Property Yield. This year, the Yield was set higher than the original recommendation, so the resulting tax rates are considerably lower than the estimates published in Annual Reports (a comparison is illustrated in the table below).
